FAQ'sWhat is IAME? IAME is the acronym of Institute of Aeronautical & Marine Engineering with its facilities at Bangalore to impart coaching and training for AESI/IETE courses. IAME is registered under Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Karnataka, under Karnataka Education Act, 1983. Aeronautical & IT Foundation Educational Trust (R) is established IAME. What are the facilities at IAME? IAME has created the state of art facilities to impart education. Well equipped class rooms with modern teaching aids such as Computer laboratory, along with full fledged library and coaching by Industrial and Academic background faculties, separate hostel for boys and girls. How about teaching staff? IAME has selected a very competitive team of faculty upon thorough screening to guide students and they come from a sound industrial background. What are the advantages of this program from IAME? This training conducted at IAME for the benefit of students will make better understanding of the subjects and if they study hard then they can clear the subjects with good grade. IAME will also give equal importance to Interpersonal skills, Executive English and over all development of the Individual. Is there any entrance test for admission? There is no entrance test for admission and students can enroll directly on meeting of the eligibility criteria. Who conducts the examination? Authorized boards will conduct the examination on every six months. What is the difference between an Aeronautical Engineer and Pilot? Aeronautical engineer basically designs develops and manufactures the aircraft and allied flying objects but does not pilot it. The pilot need not be knowledgeable about engineering of the aircraft but should be proficient in flying the aircraft. Knowledge in each other fields though is not essential but it is desirable Are these degrees / diplomas recognized by UGC/ AICTE / Ministry of Education etc? These are recognized by Govt of India as equivalent to BE/ B Tech from Indian Universities. Students passing these exams can also pursue higher studies or appear for Public Services Commission exams or seek Govt / Private jobs. Can Aeronautical Engineer apply for Post-graduation in India or abroad? These degrees are equivalent degrees to BE / B Tech and the students passing these exams can pursue higher studies in India & abroad. What are placements? Does IAME guarantee placement to the students? IAME does not guarantee placement to the students. IAME has a specialized placement division, which looks after placements of students who successfully complete their Degree will give 100% assistance. Placement cell will intact with companies, organizes placement talks and arranges Industrial visits. What is the Difference between Regular Engineering & Our Engineering? Universities will award regular engineering degree. The degree, which our students get from Authorized boards, is as par with BE/BTech Can one pursue higher studies in India and abroad on the strength of this degree? Students can take up higher studies in any Indian Universities and take-up GATE and Join IISc/IITs and also can appear for UPSE Exams like IAS/IFS/IPS/KAS What is the pre-dominant teaching methodology? The teaching methodology incorporates:-
After completion of [A.M.Ae.S.I. / A.M.I.E.T.E] Engineering degree one may appear for M.E/ M.Tech or UPSC Examinations like IAS/IES/IAE/IAF and State Public Service Commission (PSC). One can also apply for all posts in Government or Public Sector organizations where necessary qualification like B.E/B Tech. is required. Are the AmAeSI/AMIETE/AMIME correspondence courses No, these are not correspondence courses-but require quite systematic studies in an organized manner. Correspondence course involves sending study material to the students who complete the assignments & mail it back to the university or to the correspondence centre. There is no such arrangement in AM courses. IAME prepares the students to appear for these courses so that they can pass successfully. Does IAME have AICTE approval? No, IAME does not have AICTE approval. For non-formal professional courses like AMAeSI/AMIETE/AMIME - which involves only preparation for the examinations AICTE approval is not required. However IAME is registered technical training institute under Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Karnataka, under Karnataka Education Act, 1983. |
