AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERINGAeronautical Engineering is one of the most challenging fields of engineering with a wide scope for growth. Thus field deals with the development of new technology in the field of aviation, space exploration and defense systems. It specializes in the designing, construction, development testing operation and maintenance of both commercial and military aircrafts. Aeronautical engineers usually work in teams under the supervision of senior engineers, bringing together their skills and technical expertise. Though highly paid work is very demanding. An aeronautical engineer needs to be fully dedicated to his work. One needs to be alert, have an eye for detail and should have a high level of mathematical precision to be successful. The specializations includes in areas like structural design, navigational guidance and control systems, instrumentation and communication or production methods or it can be in a particular product such as military aircrafts, passenger planes, helicopters, satellites, rockets, etc. Engineers may work in areas like design, development, and maintenance as well as in the managerial and teaching posts in institutes. They find a very good demand in airlines, aircraft manufacturing units, air turbine production plants or design development programmes for the aviation industry. Aeronautical Engineering is sophisticated with rewarding career opportunities involving leading edge technology. By establishing HAL in 1940's India entered in to the aviation, more than six decades later, today India is backed up by the avionic giants like HAL, NAL, DRDO, CAD etc., In this six decades of history, Bangalore played a pivotal role. There are government avionic establishment's in Bangalore like, HAL, Aeronautical Development Establishment, CAD, DRDO, Air India etc., Consider the private sector, there are DECCAN Aviation, AGNI Aviation, Kingfisher Air lines, Indian Air Lines, Jet, Sahara, Pawan Hans etc., Surely Bangalore will be on top of the list of the aspirants who desires to formulate their dream come true career in Aeronautical Engineering. What is Aeronautical Engineering? Aeronautical Engineering involves the exciting challenge of designing and developing machines that can fly. The Aeronautical engineering teams are responsible for the creation of newer, safer and more energy-efficient, economical methods for travel including airplanes, helicopters, missiles, satellites and spacecraft. They contribute to the amazing world of air travel where airplanes that weight over half a million pounds can soar into the sky and spacecraft can travel 17,000 miles an hour. Aeronautical Engineering is a specialized yet highly diverse career that encompasses challenging areas such as aircraft design, light-weight structures, stability and control of aerospace vehicles, propulsion systems, and low and high speed aerodynamics. Did you know? Aeronautical engineers are designing and developing un-manned aircraft which are currently being used to fly high altitude reconnaissance mission over many of the world's trouble spots. What are job Prospects & Career Options? Aeronautical engineers work with one of the most technologically advanced branches of engineering. The main trust in this area is on design and development of aircrafts to space and satellite research. Jobs are available with the national, international, public and private airline services as well as aircraft-manufacturing units. Job opportunities for an aeronautical engineer in India , lies with various airlines like Air India, Indian Airlines, Helicopter corporation of India and flying clubs , private airlines and government owned air service and aircraft manufactures like Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL) with its factories at bangalore , Nashik, Koraput, Kanpur Etc. Defense research and development laboratories, National Aeronautical Lab (NAL), Aeronautical Development Establishment, Civil Aviation Department etc. The Defense service and Indian space Research Organization(ISRO) also happen to be two major employers. What kind of careers are possible? Aeronautical Engineering careers include tasks ranging from airframe design, wind tunnel testing, engine design and testing and flight testing of new vehicle to the design if airliner cabin comfort systems. Conclusion; If your goal is simply to earn a bachelor's degree with minimal effort so that you get a job that pays a lot of money, then IAME is not the place for you. However, if your goal is a challenging education with opportunities to develop your skills-and character - to a professional level before you graduate, then IAME is the place for you. 4 (Four) YEAR COURSE LEADING TO AMAeSI DEGREE
